This vision is about how to grow a methaphorical Garden of Eden.

My whole life I had carried the struggle of creativity.
This might seem like a blessing to some, but it certainly wasn't for me.
I didn't fit into the roles that society wanted me to fit in.
In an attempt to subdue my creativity, my mind had been filled with thoughts and expectation that were not right for me.
My mental garden had seeds growing inside of it, that were of no use other than to make me another cog in the societal machinery.
I noticed this and worked on freeing my garden from all the toxicity within.
In this vision we will dive deep into the topic of the mental garden (your mind).
This is going to be highly metaphorical, so get ready for a lot of wordplays.
Your garden is chaotic, why?
Every human is born as a blank slate.
The soil is barren and incredibly fertile.
This fertility lets us plant all kinds of beautiful flora, both nurturing and destructive.
And we do so when we are not in a state to decide what is good to keep and what is better to discard.
And so we collect all kinds of plants througout our life.
Some of these plants shouldn't be there.
If you've ever done a bit of reflection you've probably noticed that there are some habits and behaviour patterns in your life that do not align with who you want to be.
This is the reality for most of us.
But where did these behaviours (plants) originate from?
Who planted these plants inside the garden that is your mind?
It was (most likely) not you.
We get most of our habits from the people we grew up with.
Our parents, friends, teachers, family, peers and environment are always eagerly putting their seeds inside our heads (consciously and unconsciously).
So don't feel bad for random arrangement in your mental garden.
Matter of fact is, society is to blame for the beauty of your garden up to a point.
The blame is only on you once you became aware that it was happening.
If this is the first time that you have been made aware then this is the tipping point of your life.
It's okay to have a garden that is ugly.
Stuff happens.
It's not okay to keep your garden that way.
Now it's your responsibility to clean it up.
Okay?
Cool.
Now how do you fix your garden?
How to grow a beautiful garden:
Let's get to the root of the problem (see what I did there?).
Your garden is filled with the wrong plants.
You want to have beautiful fruit bearing trees inhabiting the plains of your mind, not some nutrient-stealing weeds.
Here's a step-by-step approach on how to grow better plants in your garden.
1.) Find plants that you'd like to grow:
This is an obvious step that I need to include.
Find seeds (knowledge) that you want to acquire.
This can be a gym habit for example.
A great thing to start with! After you chose a seed you like you will need to...
2.) Find people who already have the plants:
The way you acquired seeds in the past was from others.
This will remain the best way to go about acquiring new seeds, even if
you're an adult, as it's always easiest to do what someone else has done
before. Luckily, we are living in the digital Renaissance.
Everybody has access to the Internet.
So find Authors, YouTubers, Influencers, etc. who are where you want to be.
Done?
Good, because here comes the fun part:
3.) Acquire the seeds from them:
This is a fairly simple process.
You need to consume their content, relevant to what you want to
achieve.
It's essential to get your mind thinking about the topic to get the
seed planted firmly into your mind.
Imagine you are growing a farm.
You wouldn't just plant a single seed. No.
The success rate of a single seed is simply to low.
You always plant multiple seeds to make sure that some of the seeds sprout and turn into fully grown and healthy plants.
Doing this is essential and goes hand in hand with the last step.
4.) Water and fertilize your seed:
Now that you have the seed you have to make sure to give it the opportunity to grow.
Water and fertilize it religiously to make sure it survives.
"That's great Malkas, but how the fuck do I apply this?"
Good point!
Here's the translation: Consistent action.
You will need to consistently act upon the advice and information you
receive.
The seed by itself will wither and die if it's not nurtured.
The only way to nurture is to act.
So start acting.
Now start to remake your mental garden
In conclusion your mind is a garden with all kinds of plants and it's your responsibility to make it a beautiful one.
It wasn't your fault, but it's your responsibility.
Find new seeds, plant and nurture them and enjoy your life.
